Welcome to Bread Street

David Winter opened Bread Street in Mont Albert Village in August 2002. His 35 year's experience and love of baking has seen the bakery become the heart of the Village, with customers travelling across Melbourne for our breads.

Skill, hard work, and sticking to the simple, no rush, traditional method is our recipe for baking the finest quality breads. Everything is made by hand, using the best possible ingredients, and our friendly staff ensure our customers keep coming back for more.

Our wide range includes Authentic Sourdoughs, Boiled Bagels,
Pane di Casa, Ciabatta and Pide,
White, Wholemeal, Country Grain, Low GI, Focaccia, Tuscany, Pasta Dura, Twists, Scrolls, Croissants, Danish Pastries, Muffins and Scones, not forgetting our ever popular Bagel Dogs and Mini Range.

Proudly Supporting

ALL LOCAL SCHOOLS, SPORTING CLUBS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS, donating bread for sausage sizzles and fund raising events.

MONT ALBERT AND SURREY HILLS ROTARY CLUB (MASH) providing free bread, hot cross buns and Christmas fruit mince pies for their fund raising events.

LEFTOVER BREAD is donated daily to local soup kitchens and other organizations in need

Closed: Good Friday, Christmas Day, New Year's Day
